Martens Cleaning
Rotterdam, 21 March 2020 –In March 2019, Martens Cleaning contacted SJR with a request for proposal for the supply of tanks for a new-build tank pit at their Nieuwdorp location.
Martens Cleaning’s core business is the collection and processing of oil/water mixtures, wastewater and ships’ waste. A large share of these waste materials is converted into valuable raw materials. An expansion of Martens’s facilities to include heavy fuel oil storage necessitated an expansion of the firm’s overall storage capacity.
In January 2020, SJR started work on two 2,000-m³ storage tanks at its location in Rotterdam. After two weeks of construction, these tanks – which have an internal diameter of 14 metres and are also 14 metres tall – were finished on schedule and were ready to be installed at the client’s location. After an impressive transport by water in late February, SJR can add another interesting project to its track record.
